Q1 What is Direct Worker Voice (DWV)?

DWV is honest, unfiltered and unconstrained feedback from workers about their working conditions. DWV is anonymous data from personal mobile devices to support an organization’s claims when doing Human Rights due diligence (HRDD) and reporting on working conditions in their supply chains. MM is a DWV platform.

Q2 How do I do MM surveys?

You scan the QR or go to the URL on the poster to access the MM app in your browser. You complete a Qualification Survey. If you qualify, you will get an SMS with a 4 digit code to continue to the MM Worker Voice Survey after 24 hours of completing qualification survey. You get reminders by SMS until you complete five (5) days.

Q3 How does MM protect personal information?

MM app does not collect any personal information. Surveys can only be completed after workers opt-in and consent. In MM reports all data is anonymized and aggregated. You cannot be identified.

Q4 What if I cannot understand some of the survey questions?

Just answer based on whatever you understand.

Q5 Do employers know I am doing the MM survey?

No. Employers do not know who is doing a survey. MM surveys do not identify you.

Q6 How does MM use the survey data?

MM aggregates and anonymizes all the data to prepare a report of how you and your co-workers feel about the working conditions. This report is shared with the employer. They can use this report to address urgent issues and make working conditions better.

Q7 Must I enable my location?

Yes. Your location is used to verify that you are a genuine worker at your factory. If you have location ‘off’ the MM app will prompt you to switch it on. So please enable location using your device settings, reload the link and try again

FAQs about Payment

Q8 How many MM surveys do I have to answer to get paid?

One (1) survey for Qualification plus five (5) surveys about your working conditions. Altogether there are approximately 100 ‘Yes or No’ response questions.

Q9 How do I know I have finished my daily survey?

You will receive a confirmation message in the MM app confirming you have completed the survey for the day. If you have more days to complete, you will see a countdown until the next survey is available for you. If you have completed the fifth survey, the MM app will invite you to claim for payment.

Q10 How do I get paid?

After you complete all five (5) surveys you must request/claim payment in the MM app. You will get a10 digits Touch ‘n Go reload pin to the same mobile number you used to respond to the surveys.

Q11 When will I get paid?

You will receive a Touch n Go reload pin within three working days after you completed all surveys and claimed payment through the MM App.

Q12 Can I stop doing the survey after I have started?

Yes, you stop at any time. You will not get paid unless you complete all five (5) days.

Q13 I forgot to claim payment after completing the fifth survey. What should I do?

Just return to the link and claim your payment. You must claim payment before the survey period ends.

Q14 Do I need a smartphone and Internet?

Yes. You must use a smartphone with a web browser and good internet connection.

Q15 Can I do the survey offline or without an Internet connection?

No. The MM app only works in your browser with an Internet connection.

Q16 What if I accidentally answer a question wrongly?

Always read each question before answering. Select YES or NO, then CONTINUE. You can use the “<” to go back to earlier questions if you want to change any answers. Once you have completed all the questions, you can SUBMIT. If you want to change any answers you have to go back before you click SUBMIT. You cannot change any answers after you have clicked SUBMIT.

Q17 How do I access the MM Survey?

After you have submitted the qualification survey, 24 hours later, the “Start Survey” button will be available. Once you click it, you will receive a 4 digit code via SMS. Type in the code on the web app to continue. If you don’t receive the 4 digit code it means you’re not qualified.

Q18 After finishing one survey, how do I get the next survey?

You can only do one survey every 24 hours. When you finish the first survey the MM app will show the countdown in hours, minutes and seconds until the next survey is available. If you keep your browser window open, you can just return to that same window after 24 hours and do the next survey. Otherwise type the link or scan the QR code on the poster again and you will be directed to the MM web app to continue.

Q19 What if I accidentally refresh or close the survey page?

Don’t worry! Your answers are always saved for every question. Just reopen the survey link and you can continue exactly from where you left off.

FAQs about the MM App

Q20 I didn’t receive an OTP, what should I do?

1. Check your network connection – do you have a good signal?
2. If yes, be patient. It may take up to 3 minutes for the OTP to arrive.
3. If still no OTP after 3 mins, scan the QR again and enter your mobile number again. Check that your mobile number is correct.

Q21 I am automatically logged out of the web page. What should I do?

Close all your tabs on the browser. Clear your browsing history and cached data. Close the browser. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet. Scan the QR from the poster again and load the link.

Q22 How do I give feedback or report issues with the MM app?

Speak to your HR team. They will help you.
